A lot of people try to earn their primary or secondary income with affiliate marketing but the unfortunate truth is that most of them fail either making no sales or very few. The same mistakes are made time and again and if people were to change their approach to affiliate marketing then the success would come to them. It is often assumed by affiliates that they do not have to do any selling as this is done by the vendor and that by simply sending them to the sales page they will make lots of money. But nothing could be farther from the truth.
A few years ago it was permissible to start a Google Adwords campaign and drive traffic to the merchant’s sales page via your affiliate link and make a few sales. The number of sales obviously depended on how well the sales page converted and the number of visitors that you sent but once you had tested a number of affiliate offers and found the winners it wasn’t that difficult to scale up and make a lot of money. Things have changed now and Google and the others that offer pay per click advertising expect you to have a landing page with some quality content on it. This is not a bad thing.
When constructing your landing page you need to provide some content which will engage the reader and create the need for them to click through your affiliate link to the sales page where they will hopefully purchase and you will receive a commission. This is known as pre selling and it is not as difficult as people think. A method that has been taught for some time now is to actually obtain the product you are marketing (you can just buy it or request that the seller give you a copy) and then write the page content around your actual findings. Always provide a personal approach with your site. Use your name and put a photograph of yourself on your site. Tell your visitors how frustrating it has been for you to make money or lose weight or get those six pack abs (whatever it is you are promoting) until you found product X and that is why you have taken the time and effort to put up a web site about it.
When you get the product there is going to be something that does not sit right with you even if overall it is good. You can use this in your pre sell content too but don’t make it a deal breaker obviously. People know that there is no such thing as the perfect product so if all you talk about is how great it is all the time they will think that you are a lying to them. Focus on what the product can do for them and give as many real life experiences from you own use of it as you can so that they will be persuaded enough to visit the sales page.
There are many ways that you can approach affiliate marketing and even more are revealed on the affiliate cash snipers review page or the deadbeat revolution review page.
